1.1 Heartbreaker

Welcome to the Davis Legacy, the fourth and last of the Occult Legacies! Now let’s meet the founder.

Elara Davis, she’s Clumsy, Jealous, Geek, and a Quick Learner. Her aspiration is Nerd Brain and she’s a spellcaster!

This being the spellcaster legacy, I built her a home on the empty lot in Glimmerbrook.

This is what the inside looks like.

The first thing Elara does is sit down and read some books for her aspiration.

She then tries her hand at woodcarving.

And for the first time in ages, the welcome wagon actually comes on the first day!

Elara: “Hello fellow neighbours. I can’t wait to be friends!”

WAIT… WHAT ARE YOU DOING????
Elara: “This is a legacy is it not?”
YOU DON’T NEED TO GET KNOCKED UP BY THE FIRST GUY YOU MEET!!

Luckily, I was able to cancel the action in time.

Um… I’m beginning to suspect that this neighbourhood has the Free Love NAP.

Yep, well I guess that explains a lot.

Elara plays some chess.

And then heads off to the magic realm!

She promptly introduces herself to two of the sages.

She works on befriending them so they’ll teach her some spells.

One takes off…

And she uses an interesting method to get the other one wrapped around her thumb.

It works though, and he eagerly teaches her a new spell.

She then meets some of her fellow spellcasters (many of whom the game made aroace for some reason, i.e. their romantic orientation is set to no one).

Back home, Elara’s woodworking has improved enough that she gets to use a saw!

She needed to meet more people, so she heads out to GeekCon.

Where Father Winter is dressed up as Darth Vader.

Elara introduces herself to some people.

Before trying out the Hack-A-Thon (she does terribly).

Being Jealous, Elara wants to go on a date, so she invites Tsutomu Ikeda (the sage) over for a date!

They have a good date, though I’m not sure if this relationship is going anywhere.

Elara plays more chess.

And finishes a milestone!

It’s back to the Magic Realm for Elara!

Tsutomu teaches Elara another spell (romance with the sages makes them quite eager to teach her).

Apparently getting almost knocked up by her neighbour wasn’t enough and now she wants to talk to him.

Elara: “I just want to be friends!”

Well, at least he isn’t trying to knock her up this time.

Tsutomu stops by randomly.

And it looks like he wants Elara to be his girlfriend!

Tomax: “This is the guy you’re choosing to date?”
Elara: “He is a Sage you know.”
Tsutomu: “I’m standing right here.”

Well that didn’t last long.

It’s Love Day, so she invites Tsutomu on a date.

The date goes perfectly…

Up until Elara decides to break up with him.
Tsutomu: “How could you do this to me on Love Day!?!?”
Elara: “At least I waited till the end of our date.”
Tsutomu: “How is that supposed to make me feel better?!”

Elara dances at the club afterwards.

But is soon invited out to the spice festival!

She tries the Curry Challenge.

And fails.

L. Faba is there and is walking around naked for some reason.

Elara tries out the bubble blower.

While I spot a familiar face. Hi Raina!

Elara wants to go on another date, but seeing as she has no boyfriend now, she invites over one of the other sages (Naoki Nishimura).

They’re at the lounge in Oasis Springs…

And it looks like Tsutomu is there as well (awkward much).

The date finishes and Elara spends some time talking to Ritvik Joyson.

Well, they do a little more than talking.

Oops. It looks like Naoki isn’t as gone as she thought…

And on that note, see you next time!
